Remission – bachelor's project

For the past year, I’ve been working on a portfolio for my bachelor project, examples can be seen below. The subject of my work was a creation in portrait and post-production associated with it. To this end, I have created several creations using items such as DIY horns and sunglasses, and by applying various effects such as stretching, cutting, geometry on the above-mentioned creations – I created a set of 28 photos. Photographs were to be unclear, enigmatic to show emotions and to encourage to explore mankind in new ways. It was the desire to get close to a man by breaking his intimate comfort zone. To create this photos I used different cameras including full frame camera (Canon 6D) and crop (Nikon D60, Nikon D300 and Nikon D5100). Photos are divided into five categories, but each one is connected: retouch, fragmentation, double exposure, structures and textures, two worlds (the real world and digital combined together – in this case – plaster, blur, stains and traces of tools, paints, formed on various substrates – paper and foil).

Pictures are not only my self-portraits, also images of my friends and family though. By interpreting emotions, feelings, sensitiveness of photographed people, which I process through my own experience and sensitivity, I am trying to create a completely new, original image of this person, and at the same time a reflection of my own world. I am playing with a created image.

The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do.
